Cura Foundation & Sanford Health Reach the Spanish Market with Covid-19 PSA urging Vaccination
The Cura Foundation and Sanford Health have teamed up once again with RonMar Studios to produce two new Public Service Announcements en Español tailor made for the Hispanic market.
New York, NY — March 14, 2022 – RonMar Studios has once again teamed up with The Cura Foundation to create two new Spanish language PSAs utilizing Hispanic celebrities in an effort to reduce social disparities in the fight against COVID-19. These new spots join the already successful awareness campaign #UniteToPrevent PSA Campaign which is already airing nationally on broadcast outlets across the country. The PSA Campaign is executive produced by Cura Foundation’s president and founder Robin Smith, MD, MBA, along with Marcie Mulé and Roni Selig, co-presidents of RonMar Studios and Ashleigh Walton, executive director of marketing at Sanford Health.
The Executive team at RonMar in association with 16 Mile Talent booked Cuban-American musician Jon Secada, whose musical career spans over two decades, with three Grammy Awards, 20 million albums sold, Panamanian-American actress Daphne Rubin-Vega most recently in the feature film “In the Heights” and Chilean-American actor Cristián de la Fuente from “Devious Maids”and many other English and Spanish-language TV shows and telenovelas. Also on deck is Mexican actor Alfonso Herrera, from the hit series “Ozark” on Netflix, award-winning Cuban actor and humanitarian Olga Merediz from “In the Heights” and Dominican-American actress Judy Reyes of “Scrubs” and “Devious Maids.”
These celebrities remind us to be change makers in our communities by getting the vaccine and booster shots.
A recipient of two Anthem Awards for public service, the Campaign has received more than 535 million impressions on 121,404 TV airings and 25,402 plays. It has aired nationally on local affiliate television stations as well as national networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, ION, The CW, MyTV Network, Bounce, and Telemundo.
Past PSA participants include singer and songwriter Josh Groban, entertainer Steve Harvey, talk show host Amanda Kloots, NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, actors and celebrities Colton Dunn, Joshua Malina, Raven-Symoné, Elise Neal, Cristela Alonzo, Kate Flannery, Oscar Nuñez, Leslie David, Margaret Cho, Loni Love, Ross Mathews, Bill Engvall, Gabrielle Carteris, Dan Bucatinsky and Bernie Williams.
